Western Hunter Gatherers (WHG) did not have black skin, they ranged from med/olive to light brown. People that score Med/Olive on that calculator have naturally white skin but with darker undertones compared to North Euros and a good ability to tan.

The misconception that WHG had black skin was based on the lack of genes/SNPS that cause really light pigmentations. But when you compare multiple SNPS then their actual pigmentation is just white/olive to light brown

Etruscans and Early Romans had about the same pigmentation as modern North Italians

The Attica, Delphi and Nestor palace Mycenaeans had a pigmentation similar to modern North Levantines and the Minoans were a bit darker.

Mygdalia Mycenaeans from North West Peloponnese had an intermediate pigmentation between North Italians and Sardinians. Mygdalia Mycenaeans had higher steppe than other Mycenaeans because of West Balkan admixture.

Only 8 Thracian samples were ran but their pigmentation is similar to modern North Italians and one sample was even red haired, so the ancient descriptions of red haired Thracians might be true after all.

Nice. Yes these results check out based off many of these samples genes for pigmentation.

Who did these analyses? I believe I've seen these before. Very accurate.

My friend ran hundreds of samples using andreis tool. I couldn't be bothered to convert so many samples to the proper format. Thank God he did it.

The only thing that really catches my attention as unexpected is that the Scots have a prediction of 0% red hair, although perhaps the Orkney Islands are a particular case in that sense.

The rest, without dwelling on specific %, seems perfectly acceptable to me in general terms.

Either sample size bias, regional differences or the calculator is bad at predicting red hair.
