Essentially, if you model every Balkan Slavic group as half Polish, which Italian region is the best fit for them?
Slovenes: Northeast (bad fit - 59% Polish, 41% Italian_Northeast)
Croats: Northeast (bad fit - 56% Polish, 44% Italian_Northeast)
Bosniaks: Friuli Venezia Giulia Sappada
Serbs: Tuscany
Montenegrins: Marche
Macedonians: Calabria
Bulgarians: Calabria
So Slovenes and Croats are too Slavic to be modeled well as half-Italian, but for the others, it works well.
