Bosniaks
South Slavs living in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Croats
The South Slavic people who make up the main population of Croatia.

The national monetary unit of Croatia is the kuna: during the Middle Ages, Croats used marten skins as currency.

In addition, Croats are trendsetters on ties, and Croatian lace is included in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List.

Also in Croatia, a breed of Dalmatian dogs was bred in the Dalmatia region.

Hungarians
Finno-Ugric people living mainly in Hungary. Their number reaches about 14 million people.

Traditional Hungarian cuisine is famous for dishes with paprika (red sweet pepper): goulash, paprikash, lecho.

Montenegrins
The South Slavic people inhabiting Montenegro. Their number reaches 433 thousand people.

Elements of traditional Montenegrin clothing were a string (plaid), leather bast shoes (opanki) and a cap.

In ancient times, this people had the custom of raising and appointing their daughter as a son ("virgin") if a man was not born in the family as a continuation of the family.

Serbs
South Slavic people living in Serbia. Their number reaches 10 million people.

In traditional Serbian cuisine, an important place is occupied by kaymak cheese and rakia, served in special glasses — chokanchichi. In addition, Serbs attach great importance to coffee (Serb. kafa). All the peculiarities of Serbian culture are intertwined in the kafana (cafe-tavern).

Serbs have two concepts: inat (stubbornness, principiality, doing something contrary, having fun) and merak (the ability to relax and enjoy simple things).

Slovenes
The South Slavic people inhabiting Slovenia. Their number reaches 2.5 million people.

The term Slovenia ("Slovene") comes from "Slavs", which means "land of the Slovenes".
