This is a poster for an upcoming article about the genetics of the Turkic people, primarily the Shaz, to be published by Harvard. It is the work of Mr. Daniel Tabin and was shared on Twitter.

He said that these posters feel worth mentioning, but they remain unpublished, somewhat preliminary, and subject to change.

Very interesting. I've googled the Shaz Turkics and it looks like those are all the Turkic branches except for the Oghur one. And this upcoming study basically confirms that the early Turkics were a mix of Indo-Europeans and South Siberian/East Asian Mongoloids.

This study might also disprove common belielf that Chuvash are Turkified local people and suggest that theyre rather an isolated Proto-Turkic group.

There's nothing Proto-Turkic about the Chuvash. They're simply Mari with minor Bulgar ancestry.
