Why do supposedly non racist countries have a problem with going to what is I presume an anti-racism conference, is it because they will be forced to face facts? Facts that show we are not all playing by the same rule book, that we let in anybody but the countries we let them in from don't?
Or is it that they don't have any argument as to why we shouldn't be racist, not ones that will stand up in front of other educated people, not just the masses that is.

It seems mostly due to the failure of the first attempted racism conference. What country actually wants to attend a conference in which they are likely to be called racist and have to stand up for their racist actions in the past? I think countries might fear that in attending they will do their country more harm than good. Every country wants to go and prove the have a lovely accepting multi-culti environment but know that such a thing would be impossible

It was ridiculous that NZ boycotted. Especially with the history of priding itself on human rights and humanitarian aid.

Well I know for a fact Australia was asked not to attend, by our local Jewish community or Israel, or both. It's mentioned briefly in your article.

It's funny because the left for the most part here likes to paint its self as champions of the Palestinian cause. That changes when they "get into Govt" I guess.

This makes for a interesting read.:puke:
