The hunt for Mokele-mbembe: Congo's Loch Ness Monster

The search for Scotland's Loch Ness Monster is world famous. Far less well-known is the hunt for a similar creature, Mokele-mbembe, which is reputed to live in the remote north of Congo-Brazzaville. But how strong is the evidence?

It's far less known for a reason. The Mokele-mbembe is even more unbelievable than the Loch Ness Monster. There's no way a Dinosaur of that size somehow survived the K-T extinction event. Unless it was a small dinosaur that evolved to be larger overtime, but in that case it would be much more likely for the adaptable mammals to take it's niche.

I did get a laugh out of his clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCMQbxNG_xk It's the only alleged footage of the beast in existence, and it's clearly an elephant.

I'm interested in this sort of thing but this certain creature i don't find to be real in any sense. While such a creature could exist in the dense forests of Africa,i believe that we would of heard a lot more about it then just lies that contradict themselves from the locals.
