This is just a little test calculator to see what is your shift compared to the final neolithic era. I could have used Ansarve but it's a tiny bit more Nganasan shifted already, so globular amphora should be more reliable to unveil which way you go from there. Of course distances are not gonna be great but there is some consistency to it in my runs. If i were to use Bichon or even Losch alone -some is embedded in the GAC- everybody gets a heart attack...so let's not do that (distances would be 3 times higher too)

But what is this "Corded" we are talking about really cause that's just a word without genetic meaning, it seems just some increased affinity to Eastern Eurasia (East Asian, Nganassan, Onge, Papuan, Amerindian,...) but particularly Jarawa/Onge, which is confirmed in distances too.

IMHO The addition of CHG itself does not have much scientific value either, because the sources can be different, northern and southern.

After working with Vahadoo for so long, you should know how it works. If you limit the number of samples, or give it an absurd set, the results are equally random and absurd. If you limit the set to a given era and give a very wide set of samples, you get relatively correct results. It is obvious that the Scots have nothing in common with the inhabitants of the Indian Ocean and the Sardinians with the Neolithics from the Baltic Sea.

What intrigues me is why it's not only with Nganassan which is kind of expected but Oceanians too. However if we go far back in time we know R has its origin somewhere around there and that is the most plausible explanation. We know ANE and Afontova Gora have that shift too.

For current Northern Europeans, after 7 thousand years, a Sardinian may be as exotic as a Turk or a Palestinian.

The problem is we see the decrease in distance, even slightly, for all the population that have confirmed and consistent SSA/IBM or Siberian/East Asian. SW Finns for example in this test score 13% Nganassan, the highest of all Europe (not even north Finns), it's very logical they do because we know for sure they are Siberian admixed. You also want 1 Siberian great grandparent just because Finns score that amount?

Iberians are constantly closer to Taforalt and SSA, always around 75 in distances. A guy i've seen with just 2% Amerindian in genealogy, his distance instantly decreased compared to the people of the same ethnicity. Being 3 or 4% closer is not anecdotical it would be the equivalent of a recent ancestor you find in genealogy like a GGGP.

It does signal admixture, could be recent or ancient, that doesn't really matter. Admix can show a lot of things in different ways, it's not very consistent until you score big numbers. Distances are more reliable for that, it cannot work in every cases, except one you don't want to see.
