Hello. I used to post here from time to time. Most people classified me as anything but "white".

Here's my first thread on this forum where I posted my face:

https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?259799-Classify-me-and-tell-me-where-I-d-fit

I was classified as a Turk, MENA, Latina American, Armenoid, Arabid, Gpysy, so on and so forth.

So I finally took a DNA test and now I don't know whether or not it's accurate.

Here are the results:

You put too much weight into people’s flawed guessing. 23andMe is one of the better ones with your ancestry composition.

It's a good basic start

I just want to know whether or not I'm white. :P. That's all.

23andMe currently gives the best ethnic breakdown of all the DNA companies. It is not a scam, but not perfect either. As the DNA database for the world expands, it will become even more accurate at defining ancestry composition. DNA is much more accurate than individual opinions based on photos.

Ok, that I understand, but how can there be such a great variance between genotype and phenotype? That people would pretty much classify my as anything but a Euro, whereas DNA tests say otherwise? I've got so many questions and just want to find out if I'm either white or not :/

23&me is better than people's guesses by looks, but still it is not perfect. In my case, the regions if Poland and Ukraine given to me do not correspond to where my ancestors lived. In your case, Romania and Moldova may be correct as countries, but the regions you get may be wrong. Greece can be totally wrong, it is just given on a regular basis to pretty much every Romanian.
