There's a new Celtic Report on DNAGenics. Share if you'd like to. My local friend scores a 77% (she's half German, 1/4 British-Irish, 1/4 Polish).

I get 68% Celtic, according to this report. More than I would have thought, though both my parents show lots more Irish than shows up for me in the past 300 years.

I'm thinking a lot about spending money here because it seems a bit contrived, the database on this site is phenomenal but I feel like this company likes to make profit with clients and make them pay for every new thing, and most of you (including me) you'd be able to make a better Celticity calculator than this for free (just plug in Celtic foundation samples like La Tene, Hallssttat, Bell Baker etc)

I’ve been using the paid Explorer Pack from DNAgenics for a while now, but honestly, I haven’t learned much more than I could have gotten for free using G25 and nMonte. With a little effort, you can find free scripts online to tweak and refine your G25 coordinates, or to run nMonte simulations that give you comparable insights. These scripts often let you adjust parameters, test different models, and get more nuanced results—all without spending extra money.

I once measured that I have just under 70% coming from the Urnfield horizon, so I think my report is accurate.

I don't have your specific knowledge of the scripts that can be implemented in Vahaduo, but rather than that page that asks you for a new rate every time you pee, I'd rather spend my money on a private individual like AndreiDNA, a guy I think is underrated because he can determine diseases, phenotypes, and therefore ancestry. I'll be keeping an eye out for his new products. Plus, those 15 euros go directly to 5-liter bottles of the best olive oil or similar, which isn't very Celtic, but again, it's worth it.

If you’re interested in running your own G25 and nMonte models, you can find plenty of free scripts online. Just search around on anthro forums, Reddit, or GitHub—people have shared Python and R scripts that let you tweak coordinates, adjust parameters, and refine models way beyond what DNAgenics offers. Even better, AI can generate scripts for you if you don’t want to code. Just ask ChatGPT or another AI to write a script based on your needs (e.g., "generate an nMonte script for G25 data in Python"), and you’ll have something usable in minutes. With a little effort, you can get better results without spending a cent.

As for those 15 euros, spending them on high-quality olive oil is definitely a better investment than another paid calculator—but just make sure you’re actually getting the real thing. There’s a massive racket of counterfeit olive oil out there, with a lot of supermarket brands being cut with cheaper oils or outright frauds. If you’re dropping money on the best, it’s worth knowing how to spot the real deal.

Friend, thank you very much. I think what you've commented is not only interesting for me but for the entire forum. As for olive oil, I love the Arbequina variety. Spain is the world's largest producer of this product. There's no problem. Since the price of the harvest has been rising for two years, people have stopped buying and prices have dropped. It's the best time to get the best at the lowest price. This is definitely turning into a catastrophe. A country without sovereignty can only stumble.

This report was free for me since I had my DNA files merged on DNAGenics

Would be higher if DNAGenics included iron age British samples.

Tú sueles ser muy similar en tus resultados de G25 a los de "gixajo enana", así que andarás como ella en torno al 75%.

They simply match us to the one with the most genetic similarity to us, so it's a bit strange.

Check the profile breakdowns for the sample match they give her. Perhaps the Basque are the true Celts? :)
