- No myopic ancestors (over 4 generations)
- According to my "Trait Predictor" report, I should be protected against myopia

Do you think it's possible to reverse this? Given that the cause is not genetic at all

If you only have myopia and it's stabilized, meaning you haven't increased your diopter for at least two or three years, you can opt for surgery to stop wearing glasses. I had it done when I was about 20 and it's been 15 years since I needed glasses.

I don't wear anything because I don't drive.

So your eye grade must not be very high yet.

Environmental factors play a bigger role than we think.

Myopia is a refractive error where light doesn’t focus directly on the retina (thus everything is out of focus) and the most common reason is that the eyeball is a bit too long or the cornea is too curved. It’s mostly genetic, but you can still be the first in your family to have it. It could be caused by environmental factors like not spending enough time outdoors or too much screen time (blue light exposure) but it’s typically milder than genetic. Myopia isn’t really reversible since it involves physical changes in the eye, but it can be corrected with surgery.

I have Myopia pretty badly (-3 each eye)
My score for myopia with my tool is 1.49786
Don't know of any relatives with it.
I feel like in my case its a combination of genetics and environment, but mostly environment. But my mom has recently started developing myopia too so maybe its more genetic than I think

...by moving their desk
to a window and opening the curtain
or raising the blinds:

regularly moving their focus
from the work-surface to a distant object
remedied their near-sightedness (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myopia).

lack of flexing the eye
caused the problem. this simple fix is recommended.

beginning to follow my example
of drinking 16 ounces of water
every two hours

may have improved to any eye-pressure issue (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intraocular_pressure).
