I'm cooking this at the moment and I thought I'd share:

2 Cups of apple - stewed
2 level tablespoons butter
4 level tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup Self Raising flour
pinch salt
passionfruit pulp - optional

Stew apples in saucpan with some water - sugar to sweeten if needed. Place in ovenproof dish. Lightly rub together butter, sugar, flour and salt. Spoon over fruit and bake in moderate (180 C) 20-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Recipe would call for apple pulp but I much prefer to stew mine and sweeten according to need.

Thanks for this Bryn - my parents used to make this for us when we were younger, so I might do it this weekend.

Warning: Eat too much of it and it'll give you wind!
