Can someone please explain in an easy and simple way, step by step, what to do with my G25? I did IllustrativeDNA but I don't know what to do with the G25 or any of the "calculators".

edit: I no longer see "G25" at IllustrativeDNA.

Hello Elizabeth!!

First of all IllustrativeDNA doesn't provide G25 coordinates anymore by disgrace, however you can still acquire them by contacting with Davidski here: g25requests@gmail.com

After you recieve your own coordinates you gotta go to Vahaduo.com and then copy and paste all the modern or ancient samples that you want to model yourself with in Source! Then you put your own coordinates on Target, Then you go to Single in order to get your own personal results by admixture! Although, if you're more interested on comparing your sample with distance closeness to others then you must click on Distance. You'll likely get something like this:

Kisses!

Thank you Beowulf. :hug2:

It still looks complicated.

What do I say or write to Davidski?

Should I send him my "raw data" from one of the following: ancestry.com, FTDNA.com, MyHeritage.com? Which one should I send?

Or should I "download" coordinates from IllustrativeDNA and send that to him?

You can send your raw data from any company that let's you download your own data, however i'd reccomend to send the AncestryDNA one!
Regarding the email, you gotta send him your raw data and then i think he'll ask for a payment via PayPal but i don't remember how much did it cost, sorry!! :(

If you saved your coordinates from IllustrativeDNA, you don’t have to contact Davidski.

Okay, I requested a new DNA data download from ancestry
I'll log off my laptop for now and come back later. Thank you Beowulf. :)

I never downloaded my G25 from IllustrativeDNA. Their website does say I can download coordinates but it doesn't say it is G25. Is it the same thing?

Do they yield the same results as the Davidski coordinates? The simulated coordinates deviate pretty much from Davidski.

Old illustrative cords and Davidski's cords are the exact same.

I think it’s best to get your g25 coordinates from Davidsky.

Well he's the only one who does them anymore anyway, unless you want the cheap shite from exploreyourdna. Illustrative doesnt work with Davidski now

Old coordinates from Illustrative DNA are the same as from Davidski.

I ordered direct from Davidski few weeks ago, and got the same.

New one from Illustrative DNA are different.

Beowulf has already indicated Davidski's contact, who can generate the "official" coordinates.
To you and anyone else who is interested and has reached this thread: there are unofficial (and therefore less reliable) options.
For those who have a junk currency close to the Euro, this is a temporary alternative.

I have a simulated coordinate made by exploreyourdna, it was free, but now they charge:
https://www.exploreyourdna.com/simul...rdinates2.aspx

You can generate vahaduo coordinates from Eurogenes results from GEDmatch.
Here are some tools:

% to Vahaduo style:
https://allelocator.ovh/horizontaltovertical.html

https://www.exploreyourdna.com/convert-vahaduo.aspx

Below is how to get some G25 simulations:

Vahaduo Eurogenes coordinates to like G25:
https://allelocator.ovh/simulatedg25.html

K36 Vahaduo style to G25:
https://allelocator.ovh/K36horizontal.html

K36 sorted result percent to G25
https://allelocator.ovh/K36vertical.html

You can convert your G25 coordinate from scaled to unscaled here:
https://admixtr.streamlit.app/
(click in “convert”)

Paying for simulated to ExploreDNA is extremaly stupid.
We have already on allelocator best option for free similaution as you pointed. First check your data in K47 calcuclator, he is according to Ngasankhan (autor of the script) best for simulation. Then choose K47 linear regression matrix here https://allelocator.ovh/simulatedg25.html and you have free simulated coords which are least dieviated from original but still of course of mediocre quality compared to Davidski's ones.

If you really want to pay for coords, pay Davidski for real coords.
