This is rather a so-called Scythian Farmer not necessarily a Slav.

Other Scythian Farmer samples from Medvyn are similar to him:

Here's scythians:

And here is it:

Stop calling everyone and everything scythian, it is unscientific and ignorant.

A scythian with 0.62% Siberian + 1.43% East Asian + 0.29% Amerindian?
Have we forgotten that Scythians originate from a people who were 20% East Eurasian on average (Tagars)?
Now when you factor in the fact that corded ware and EHG themselves score 2-4% of these components without having any eastern ancestry

Its pretty f-ing obvious that this isnt a scythian in any way. Even his Y lineage is typically Slavic.

According to Leonid Vyazov Slavs emerged only later from a mixture of Scythian Farmers with Balts.

Early Slavs are not close to Slovaks but rather to Belarusians:

0.01542988 Ukrainian_Dnipro

And Slavs can be modelled as a mixture of UKR035AB and Balts:

Yeah it is necessarily a slav.

He is closest to Slovaks while Early Medieval Slavs are closest to Belarusians.

According to Vyazov Slavs had more of Baltic_BA admixture than UKR035AB.

=====

Edit:

You should analyze these samples, they are also interesting and possibly Slavic:

From Olbia the Balto-Slavic sample is called UKR153:

What a ridiculus thing to type.
Slovaks are 90%+ Slavic.
Being closest to Slovaks doesn't make you UN-SLAVIC, it makes you SLAVIC.
Those La Tene outliers you posted are SLAVS.
Just because something is labeled "La tene" doesn't mean it is that.
At least you aren't calling this sample a Scythian anymore, thats some good progress.

Z282 Scythian closest to Slovaks.

At least you aren't calling this sample a Scythian anymore, thats some good progress.

Scythian Farmers is a name that Herodotus used to describe this population.

Whoever came up with these labels is a total idiot.

These samples are called Scythians in a scientific publication in which they were published.

Also if you read Herodotus then you will see that he called those people Scythian Farmers:

https://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Herodotus/4b*.html

You don't know historical sources, it seems:

"17 Northward of the port of the Borysthenites,1 which lies midway in the coastline of all Scythia, the first inhabitants are the Callippidae, who are Scythian Greeks; and beyond them another tribe called Alazones; these and the Callippidae, though in other p219 matters they live like the Scythians, sow and eat corn,º and onions, garlic, lentils, and millet. Above the Alazones dwell Scythian tillers of the land, who sow corn not for eating but for selling; north of these, the Neuri; to the north of the Neuri the land is uninhabited so far as we know.

18 These are the tribes by the river Hypanis,2 westwards of the Borysthenes. But on the other side of the Borysthenes the tribe nearest to the sea is the tribe of the Woodlands; and north of these dwell Scythian farmers, whom the Greek dwellers on the Hypanis river (who call themselves Olbiopolitae) call Borystheneitae. These farming Scythians inhabit a land stretching eastward a three days' journey to a river called Panticapes,3 and northward as far as an eleven days' voyage up the Borysthenes; and north of these the land is uninhabited for a long way; after which desert is the country of the Man‑eaters, who are a nation by themselves and by no means Scythian; and beyond them is true desert, wherein no nation of men dwells, as far as we know.

19 But to the east of these farming Scythians, cross the river Panticapes, and you are in the land of nomad Scythians, who sow nothing, nor plough; and all these lands except the Woodlands are bare of trees. These nomads inhabit to the eastward a country that stretches fourteen days' journey to the river Gerrus.4"

To plot with belarusians you need to have baltic admixture. Pure slavs are west ukrainians and slovaks. Belarusians are heavily baltic admixed. It is ridiculous to say that early slavs are supposed to resemble belarusians AND NO OTHER SLAVIC ETHNICITY

Belarusians can't be pure Slavs. The entirety of Belarus was inhabited by Balts before the Slavs moved there during migration period. There are Baltic haplogroups, baltic toponyms in belarus.
Also who told you ALL early slavs must cluster with the same exact ethnicity (Belarus) and not with the closely related Slovaks?
You clearly have no problem lumping people who cluster with Bashkirs with people who cluster with Slovaks in the same group... Why the meticulousness when it comes to Slavs? Apparently if you aren't closest to Belarusian you cant be a slav... Very selective. Clustering with slovaks is suddenly not good enough! It has to be belarusians, and NO OTHER slavic ethnicity... when Belarusians aren't even fully slavic themselves.

They're clearly part Baltic autosomally. N1 lineage must have not been present in all Balts. Its very probable that there was a pocket of Balts that weren't affected by the spread of N1. N1 doesn't leave an autosomal trace in the baltics, Latvians and lithuanians score 0 kra001. It's very possible and probable that a group related to them, carrying no N1, contributed to these medieval Poles you're posting.
It's all plug and guess.
What we know for sure is that UKR035AB
1. Clusters with Slavs (Northern Slavs in fact, those who are most similar to hypothetical early slavs)
2. Carries R-z282
3. Lives in the slavic urheimat at a time period earlier than all other slavic samples

From that it follows that it is the OTHER slavic samples who are a mix of UKR035AB + something else, and not the other way around

This is a possibility, I agree. But in such case where and when did this Baltic admixture occur in your opinion?

What we know for sure is that UKR035AB
1. Clusters with Slavs (Northern Slavs in fact, those who are most similar to hypothetical early slavs)

He is also close to Slovenians, who clearly have double digits of Balkan-like and/or Italian-like admixture.

2. Carries R-z282
3. Lives in the slavic urheimat at a time period earlier than all other slavic samples

There are many theories about where was the Slavic urheimat located, not just one theory.

By the way I have talked with Leonid Vyazov via e-mail, I will show him your video and ask him what he thinks.

But there is a mistake in your video, UKR035AB is not from Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, he is from Kyiv Oblast (Bila Tserkva Raion):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medvyn_rural_hromada - he is from here

He was very close to me, and even closer to my mother. I wonder if it's merely a mathematical proximity — like G25.

It is also completely batshit c r a z y to call a clearly Slavic sample with y:R-z282 a SCYTHIAN

Slavs and Balts emerged from a shared ancestral Proto-Balto-Slavic population. There is solid linguistic and historical evidence to support this. A 'pure Slav' doesn’t exist—just as a 'pure Balt' doesn’t. While some populations may have higher percentages of Slavic ancestry, none are entirely 'pure'. It’s not surprising that early Slavic samples are Belarusian-like.

Slovaks have Balkan and German admixtures compared to Proto-Slavs.

Early Medieval Slavic samples such as AV2 are usually close to Belarusians:

Scythian Farmers is a name that Herodotus used to describe this population.

The country of the Man-eaters drew my attention. Who were the late antiquity East European cannibal tribe, were they related to proto-Slacs? Or is it more of a hearsay? Anyone knows more?
