Yes, Roman Illyria is quite different from Iron Age Illyria.
Romans settled population from Anatolia and Thracia.

Roman Illyria is average of samples that are mixed Iron Age Balkanites (Illyrian + Thracian) and actual Roman Anatolians, so why not!

I know my genealogy on all lineages in 19th centuries at least and I haven't found any Ashkenazi ancestors. MyHeritage gives me 0% Jewish, 23&me gives 0.3%. I do have higher than normal Balkan and Greece&Albania % for northeastern european.

My mother does come from southwestern Ukraine. There were not only Jews, but many settlers from Balkans and Greece.

Slavic admixture in Albanians is mostly from Ottoman times, and the same can be said for Paleo-Balkan admixture in Orthodox Slavs. With the introduction of the Ottoman Milet system, more intermarriages began to occur. Albanian Muslims started taking more Slavic Muslim women, in addition to practices of slavery, as Albanian Muslim pashas and agas raided Slavic villages and took women as slaves. As most of the Slavic admixture in us is female-derived

Pre-Ottoman Albanians show only 3-7% Slavic admixture.

In Kosovo, the areas with the highest Slavic admixture are in the west and south and even today, these regions still have Muslim Slavs, including Gorani and Torbeš in the south, and Bosniaks in the west.
