Italian Cruise Ship Fires on Pirates

NAIROBI, Kenya (April 26) - The small white skiff approached the Italian cruise ship Melody after dinnertime as it sailed north of the Seychelles, the pirates firing wildly toward the 1,500 passengers and crew on board.
What the pirates didn't expect was that, in the darkness, the crew would fire back.

The commander of this Italian cruise ship, shown in May 2008, said his crew successfully fended off a pirate attack off the coast of Somalia. The ship's Israeli privacy security forces returned fire when six men in a small white boat attacked the ship, he said.

I never knew that cruise liners carry weapons these days. Good for them if they do. :thumb001:

I think all this piracy stuff is exciting. Makes me want to go join the Navy and take out some mofos on speedboats.

lol when I first heard of the pirating my first thought were the days of Black Bart and the such lol, then I heard it was Somali pirates and I then wanted to learn dark and ancient magic to raise Black Bart from the dead and set sail for Somalia and show em whose king of the sea! :D I've always been obsessed with adventure at sea lol.

You could set up your own pirate fleet, in Lake Erie...just watch out the river doesn't catch on fire again
