I would say that this update is not a big improvement for me compared to previous results because they assigned to me some fake Czecho-Slovak ancestry which I don't have (I'm just Western Polish so I'm closer to Slovaks and Czechs than Polish average). The genetic group Wielkopolska and Pomerelia is very correct, though (but I had it already before the update):

My 0.2% of non-European (Bengali & Northeast Indian) has disappeared in this update:

However it is cool that they split my French & German ancestry into German and French:

Refraining from "broadly..." categories forces assignments into much more specific categories that simply can not be determined by 23andMe (or anymone else today). It's a capitulation to the army of simple customers that erronously believe that a specific assignment indicates a better estimate than a "broadly..." assignment.

In that view the "broadly..." categories are provided (otherwise you can not have different confidence levels).

If you extract 1.9% delusional Swedish from a Pole he likely becomes more southernish in the remaining part, i. e. "Czech, Hungarian & Slovak". Looks like simple Vahaduo logics.

I also noticed that my Broadly European at 50% is now very high (relatively) at almost 11%, in fact much higher than it was with v6.0 results. And reaches an insane level at 90% that I have not seen from 23andme in a long time.

This must not mean that you have ancestors from these matches' countries. It may also mean that siblings/cousins of your ancestors went there and thus you share some DNA with them. Thats how I partly explain my much higher Swedish compared to my Danish, knowing some distant relatives emigrated to Sweden.

Yes and my ancestry is indeed from Wielkopolska and Pomerelia (as 23andMe correctly shows), regions that were part of the German Empire before 1914, but ethnically have always been mostly Polish.

No, I think they assign Genetic Groups based on matches, while ancestry proportions based on ADMIXTURE.
