Well alot of college aged Eastern Euros come to my town during the summer for work in the tourism industry. The restaurant I work at during the evenings always hires a few. It's always been a yearly tradition of mine to befriend a few of the girls. However, the cost of the exchange program coupled with a plane ticket would've been around $3,000-$4,000. Obviously, I was very uncomfortable with sending her that much money especially consdiering there was no gaurantee that she could even obtain a work/travel visa to come to my town for a second year in a row. On top of that she wanted to move in with me for the Summer, she only wanted to work part-time, and she wanted me to chaufer her all around America like to NYC, Vegas, California, etc.

She really had no idea of what the value of a dollar was, how much things cost, how much I make in a year, and what I can afford, etc.

Kind of got the impression that she wanted a free ride. So of course, I never sent her money for the exchange program and I haven't seen her since. :coffee:
