I approve of this new law in El Salvador and wish it was mandatory in all countries too.

In my case I had a deadbeat father who abandoned me and my Mom. I didn't get a paternity test with him until I was 20. And he raised a son I believe is NOT HIS but he never had him tested.

AI Overview
El Salvador has not made genetic testing the law for the general population. However, a new controversial law requires mandatory DNA testing for every newborn before they are added to the civil registry. President Nayib Bukele defended the law by stating it is "not a law against women, but against lies," and argues it will prevent fraud related to parentage. The law has been met with both support and criticism, and its implications for citizens and their rights are still being debated.
