If you don´t know your Ydna haplogroup etc... and you are interested in knowing it, you can get free predictions (not exact results) using your MyHeritage raw data here:

Morley´s Ydna Predictor for Autosomal tests (https://ytree.morleydna.com/extractFromAutosomal)

And here:

Yseq cladefinder (https://cladefinder.yseq.net/)

Keep in mind that there is often not enough information to obtain an accurate clade, and that even when included there may be errors in the determination of the haplogroup, but in general it is usually correct although not very accurate.

it's actually been one step deeper than 23andme for me, my dad, and my maternal grandma. it was able to estimate one level further down than 23andMe, and I think it was correct because the estimate also included the same haplogroup as 23andme. still, it's not very specific - the proposed subclades are still pretty high-level on yfull, with tens or hundreds of people from all around the world

Edit:I thought you were speaking about ethnic estimates, so I deleted my first text speaking about that, sorry.

About what you were speaking about:

MH estimates well my paternal R1a, but it remained only R1a-M417.

23andMe gave me some steps more, giving me a R1a-Z280.

To go further, I first bought an R1a panel from Yseq (a very friendly and attentive service), and finally I made a BIG Y at FTDNA and a full mtdna also in FTDNA to save steps and go straight to the most accurate results.

Very nice, HM.

Did you ever try uploading to GEDmatch? Your Eurogenes results (K13, K36) would be interesting to see.

Mine are almost identical, even the percentages. I think you stole my test, although I am the Pole here :P

New RAW files from MyHeritage no longer contain the haplogroup, unfortunately...
