I can see him lebanon and israel as well as almost any islands of the eastern mediteranean. However I could see him in Sicily or southernmost italy... to be very frank I thought he looked kind of italian (southern).

He is Calabrese in origin. There is simply overlap in the eastern Mediterranean, meaning someone in Lebanon can very easily overlap with some Greeks, Sicilians etc. I don't know why this shocks anyone.
