Mycenaeans and Levantines were quite different genetically, why would anyone lump them together?

Because both are originally cultures from the Eastern Mediterranean.

Northern Romania and Moldova are in pair with Serbs and Bosniaks in autosomal genetics, so it should be more for them.

I isolated all 81 East Med segments I have using K36 "stepped segments" table on Admixture Studio and made a set of Ethnospecifc K36 coordinates to see where they show my East Med genes coming from.
The raw K36 ethnospecific for all 81 segments gives me:
Target: SC_EastMed_K36_Mrg_full_81seg
Distance: 24.3165% / 24.31647810 | ADC: 2x RC
53.0 German_North_Moravia
47.0 Greek_Crete
Target: SC_EastMed_K36_Mrg_full_81seg
Distance: 14.0357% / 14.03573905
42.8 German_Frisian
42.1 Druze
8.7 Finnish_Northeast
5.7 Basque_Spain
0.7 Brahui
I did the same with K13:
Target: SC_EastMed_K13_top13seg_370cM_4.3%DNA
Distance: 28.8095% / 28.80950711 | ADC: 2x RC
100.0 Jew_Ashkenazi
Target: SC_EastMed_K13_top13seg_370cM_4.3%DNA
Distance: 26.0685% / 26.06848367
39.0 Austrian_Burgenland
30.3 Lebanese_Druze
24.3 Jew_Yemen
6.4 Polish_Podlaskie
