My Eurogenes K13 is showing an elevated 1.26% East Asian signal and I want to figure out if it's real or if it's artificially lumping my Siberian and Amerindian portions under East Asian. My ethnicity is Danish and Slovenian. To be honest, I never really knew that Slovenians could have East Asian ancestry so this is new interesting self-discovery for me.
I added a screenshot of my chart with the European averages of the main Western and Eastern European countries with some controls thrown in.
My East Asian signal is higher than even the average Finnish countries, which is too high so if it's correct must mean I have real East Asian ancestry. It's also higher than Hungarian which But I'm wondering if maybe the Siberian and Amerindian portions where I got 0 are being lumped under East-Asian artificially. When I make a spread sheet of East Asian + Siberian + Amerindian combined I fit more within the European averages. What do you guys think? And is there anyway to determine this definitively using ad admix calculator on vahaduo? What sources should I use? Ancient or Modern?
