Interesting, I find that I cross between British Islander and Alpine in those examples, probably due to my mixed heritage from those regions.

Which also leads me to the point of Bruenn is a bit similar to Alpinoid, and perhaps and Insular equivalent? Being more bulky in build and tending towards more full features.

Quite interesting. I seem to have pretty much all Euro-Med features, with the exception of my nose. It it fits best under "nordic". Some very notable features I share with the Euro-Med group is the rounded forehead and pigmentation(I'm actually slightly lighter than what is put for it.) I'm also right in the average for the height.

A very good guide of human types, in that sense I feel close to being between a British Islander (only for the fact that Northwest France is mentioned) and a Alpine type.

Links are working for me. Can't believe I missed this post.
I've drawn all my life with no awareness or guidance of "racial types" whatsoever, yet I seem to have done a pretty good job.

This post is awesome. I spent over two hours yesterday going through the wealth of information.

The fact that it puts Latinos with Euro-Mediterraneans (given that the majority of them are not pure European in type) is bullshit IMO

Thanks for the links...this is exactly what I have been looking for! I'm beginning to understand taxonomy a bit better now.

I am between the Armenian and Irano-Afghan types I would say.

OK so it may be inaccurate in some parts but fun/interesting nevertheless...:thumb001:

Hi

Caucasian type is working, but the Asian and African ones aren't, does anyone have them so they can image shak them?

Thanks

Where is the brachycephalic Dinaric type of the Balkans?

I also noticed that this guide lacks Dinaric type and Cromagnid type. So bad ;(

Yes, without any reason Norids/Dinarids and the various western european CM types are absents from the guide!

Hmm.....I'm confused. The Caucasoid section doesn't make a great deal of sense to me (categorizing Greeks, Brits and Slavs as distinct subtypes is awfully strange, imo).

Furthermore, there's the matter of cephalic indexes; I mean, can Mongoloids really be so dolicocephalic? I had no idea.

Rather not, most mongoloids are at least slightly reduced what means higher Cranial Index also.
I was suprised that some Indians from America can be dolichocephalic after this guide.

I was always lead to believe that a defining characteristic of East Asians is a large, round (brachycephalic) head. However, according to this guide, Central and South Chinese tend to be meso - to dolicocephalic. What the hell? That's literally not possible!
