Turns out this was filmed only days before a devastating earthquake that destroyed much of the city. Truly a rare find.

Very interesting how the city developed, interestingly it seems to be the most liberal area in California and that's pretty liberal state. Either way wonderful to see some aspects of old California's Sans Francisco history being preserved in film worthwhile.

I had a great-great uncle or something that died in the 1906 earthquake. I want to say his name was John Quinn.
