Race doesn't constantly evolve, otherwise there would be far more than five races in the world. There are some real biological, genetic differences between races that must be recognized. It largely depends on what you define "European" to be. From the respect of contributions to western civilization, I would say they are "European". Many of them that come from Europe can't really be pointed out as being Jewish or not.

For better or worse, depending on your philosophy, Jews have been with Europe for a long time. Now, in my opinion, Jews are by far the most successfull and impresive diaspora in recorded history. Even if they did "bad" things (I hate using good vs evil analogies), I view these things as good. Why, you ask? For the reason of creating pressure/tension in a certain society. Like I iterated before, a constant struggle brings the best out of people. If Europe had no struggles, we would be today's Africans.
