Today is the 65th birthday of actor John Rhys-Davies. Aside from being a fine actor (he was in the LOTR trilogy, two of the four Indiana Jones films, and James Bond's The Living Daylights, to name a few), he has also spoken publically about European cultural preservation:

I remember when he first spoke out on this. He put his career in the hands of some rather nasty folks by speaking his mind on preservation, and he deserves a happy birthday at the very least :thumbs up
