She is a Croatian actress from Vojvodina(Serbia) where a lot of Croats live.

I didn't want to imply anything, just read the bio of her on some soap-opera forum :D that stated the information. However, the surnames can sometimes be both Ser and Cro.

Well it might sound strange: surname Omaljev is very rare in Croatia and it's probably from Kosovo(!?) according to one of the Cro-surnames websites.
