I thought the same thing:D but here's a fun fact she's 1/4 Danish the rest is Irish she was also very short(4'11" 1/2 to be precise).

She reminds me a bit of Marilyn Monroe, who is of Danish ancestry, so I see her more in Denmark, but I suppose there are some Danish/Norwegian inspired looking Irish women with a Borreby look.

I guess:D though they both had different screen persona Veronica was more of a Film-Noir actress whereas Marilyn was more of a Comedic actress & much warmer & fuzzy.

Marilyn was most likely of Norwegian descent(her alleged father Martin E. Mortensen was born to Norwegian immigrants) & Gladys Baker(her mother) was of Scottish descent I reckon but there's a fine line between Norwegian & Danish so fair enough

I think Danish when I think M. Monroe. V. Lake looks northern like n. Germany Scandinavian to me so Danish suits her as well IMO. There are some Irish who resemble her too, there is Scandinavia/Irish overlap in looks. Ireland sustained migrations, invasions from Scandinavian raiders and settlers.
