Some of them can as can some Irish. Orlando Bloom, Emma Watson, Colin Farrell, Sean Connery, Andrea Corr etc.

Agree. If he looks Portuguese, then most of my moms' relatives must not, or they are more impacted by their African ancestry than I thought..

It's all fun to see where people can pass/fit other than their own country or native group, but it's another thing to tell people that they DO NOT look like what they are and would fit better someplace else; e.g. "but he doesn't 'look' Portuguese...so he can only fit in..."

I think that's what bothers some people the most.

Baskid-influenced phenotypes seem to be one of the main looks that distinguishes some Iberians from other Western and Southern Europeans, regardless of pigmentation.

Not that so much. But if this is a typical Portuguese look, then we cannot say Portuguese look Southern European. This guy barely passes in Italy (and doesn't pass in the south), and cannot pass in Greece.

Don't see how this matters. Fitting in these countries is not a prerequisite for looking Portuguese.

It's Americans fault, that people think the Portuguese are the darkest.

Anyway. Science has spoken, and it tells the Portuguese are definitely NOT the darkest.
