Read the article,they were arrested for protesting in front of Sudan embassy from Washington DC.
"The actor, his father and politicians were protesting the country's blockade of supplies and humanitarian aide".So the goverment of Sudan blocked the help that other states wanted to give to the population of Sudan.
"They were protesting the violence committed by the government of Sudan on its own innocent men, women and children," - so the goverment of Sudan is doing violences against his own civil population.

He came too close to Sudanese embassy and after three warnings to move away and not to cross the line, he and his father got arrested. Noble arrest (and I am with him on this one), compared to arrests of all other famous people.
