PPS files (http://filext.com/file-extension/PPS) are PowerPoint Slideshow files. Why would you want to change a presentation into a picture? You should select whatever image inside of the slideshow you want and save it.

If there is no actual conversion available just take a screenshot and crop it; save as jpeg.

I tried the ones downloaded and on my desktop.
I can not transfer them to Tinypict "invalid" the same with slideshows and videos.
I can not even click on a photo and transfer

Now here I show my Dutch 'courage'
Clicking on the photo gives not "save as"
What is a screen shot?????
PS: This only happens with PPS.

When the image you want is maximized on your desctop (you have your PowerPoint open on full screen), push the button Print Scrn from your keyboard and give Paste in Paint...Then "Save as" the image as JPG or whatever you want...

Here how it looks (of course you must crop the image you want :))

PPS is not an image file extension for starters so as Ulf said there's no proper conversion tool and screenshots seem a viable solution. You will find the PrtScrn key right by F12 on your keyboard, press while image is displayed then paste on a new document on any image editing software of your choice (preferably paint, which comes with standard Windows assuming that's your OS) and crop.
