My general impression is that he fits somewhere in Southeastern Europe at a transition point between Europe and Western Asia/West-Middleeastern region.

I would think Crete, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Armenia, and even Southern Italy/Sicily are all worthy candidates for his homeland.


Mediterranid types tend to be more broad and generalized, which makes it more difficult to distinguish them between East and West at times, but he looks more Eastern to me.

He actually kind of reminds me of a Maltese guy I know - I'm not too sure on the ethnic origins of the Maltese. Living in the Italian part of Switzerland he doesn't look too italian to me... definitely more Southern-eastern european
