Not only does that have nothing to do with this thread, but it's also untrue. I said she can pass as Croatian, not that she looks Croatian

There's a huge difference, mate.

And your so called "anti-nordicist" obsession is becoming pathological

You were never in Croatia so you are not really qualified to discuss about our phenotypes. You don't see me debating weather a certain person can pass in lets say Estonia. But you are right, this is not thread about Mirjana Bozovic.

There is no such thing as textbook Croatian since we are diverse people.Anyway,Ancic looks more Italian.Sportsmen are not really representative for population.

But just because you're in Croatia doesn't automatically make you an authority on Croatian phenotypes.

Consider this- I am currently living in Boston. If I told you that 100% of the people living in Boston drive a Motorcycle, would you believe me? Does me living in Boston make my ridiculous opinion anymore valid? (It's an extreme example, but I'm sure you get my point)

I believe that sometimes an outsider can be more objective about the phenotypes of a Country than native people who may or may not have a preconceived bias of how people in their country are supposed to look.

No,but it makes me more of authority than someone from outside.

Claiming that 100% of the people living in Boston drive a Motorcycle is ridiculous statement.Claiming that Mirjana looks atypical is not.Other members have confirmed it on her classification thread.
I get your point btw.

That's what professional anthropologists are for,not some amateurs. And even them can make significant mistakes.Anyway,in order to observe country phenotype you have to visit the country, there is no other way obviously. You can't observe it from the pictures of sportsmen on the internet lol.

He belongs to Dalmatian variety, Dinarid, Mediterranid (probably Pontid inspired at least) and with some/slight robust Alpinoid influence.

I have been to Croatia several times and I know that the population is hetergenous, but I think this guy looks average Croatian with all these various influences. But I am also aware of the fact that sportsmen are not representative.

There is no such thing as average Croatian. As Saruman said,he looks common in Dalmatia. But Med types don't live in Pannonia for example.

Well if you have you know that there is no average type, and you can't take type from just one region to represent the whole country.

Other members have confirmed it on her classification thread

True, but other members didn't see anything wrong with her look and just classified her as Dinarid/East Med or something like that.

Quite frankly, I think some of the Balkan members here are extremely sensitive and can be very quick to point fingers. I think she could be a Gypsy, but there's also a good chance that she's just a slightly atypical Serbian Girl

Well, I saw some Croatian tourists in various European Countries and there is a small but present minority of Croatians in Moscow who I interacted with quite often.

So I never visited Croatia, but I did see some Croatians IRL.

I visit Split very often and his look is present in high percentages but it is still not typical ( typical for Split and area )
Anyway pictures ALWAYS either heighten someones perception ( sometimes when it is should not be heightened ) or lower someones perception ( also sometimes when it should not be heightened )
In real life with his height you would perceive him totally different.

I classify him as Dinaro-med

I think people are tempted to say dinarid as a prime thing in his phenotype, just bcs he is from Croatia

and mirjana bozovic is atypical anywhere around here in ex-YU, and it`s not bcs of her tan, I know Croats who are just as swarty as here, it`s here unusual facial features, which at times do give of a mixed gypsy vibe

He is Mediterranid and I imagine pre-Slavic inhabitants of Dalmatia looked like that.

Yes, They are Least Slavic looking Croats and Full with true Mediterranid Types that look very Italian or Greek rather than Balkan version of med -Pontid, which is rare among Coastal Dalmatians.

They are slim and shorther often and curly dark hair is quite common, They look like remnants of Roman past in Dalmatia.
