It's in deep crap, like the whole country. That was a good generation, not world-class since they didn't win anything but the best Romania ever had.

Nowadays most top romanian footballers play in Italy ... Chivu, Mutu and the likes), but their generation is nowhere close to Hagi and Popescu's generation.

There is hope for the future, Romania has a decent crop of young players coming up, we'll just have to wait and see what's gonna become of them.

I have high expectations for the 21 year old centre back, Vlad Chiriches. I've never seen such a confident young lad in Romania, rock solid in the back but technically very gifted, good with the ball when coming forward (and he does that pretty often).

Westbaltid or Dalofaelid, from what I've seen he could be both. Final classification depends on his cranial index (if he is meso-dolichocephal or brachycephal)
