He was another key figure in German Nationalism during the timeframe of Napoleon. He was a into Prussia Nationalism at first, but embraced German Nationalism later on.
He would build a gymnasium where people would learn, through exercising their bodies and mind.
He drew many of his ideas on education from Fichte, and were trying to raise militias for the Germans to fight Napoleon. He hated Frenchmen, Jews, and Aristocrats, which makes him quite the interesting character. :p
