Mixed or Unmixed? Gisele Bundchen & Alessandra Ambrosio

Mixed or Unmixed? In my opinion, Alessandra could pass unnoticed in Italy but Gisele would not in Germany...

What do you think, and how would you classify them?

Gisèle Bündchen seems to be Norid (fair pigmented Dinarid) straight, which is a very common type in Southern Germany.

I disagree. I think facially she looks very un-German - a lot more Dinarid-influenced than most Germans I can think of (Heidi Klum for example is same coloring but has very Germanic features) - I see some foreign influence in her nose and mouth.

Another German-Brazilian model such as Ana Hickmann is undoubtedly German (with no admxiture).

It´s easy to say some one has "native influence" with such cherry picked photos of a person smiling like that. The cheekbones rise and make the eyes look smaller. Anyone with high cheekbones and almond shaped eyes can look "native". I´ve had people on another anthropology forum tell me I look "Amerindian influenced" in photos where I am smiling, even though both of my mom´s parents and all 4 of my father´s grandparents were born in Europe. I guess people´s perception of you changes as soon as they find out you are Brazilian. A Greek friend of mine posted my photos on a Balkan forum without revealing my nationality. There, my eyes and cheekbones were classified as "Slavic looking" LOL. Some one else said I looked Turkish... yet another guessed "Russian mixed with Tatar". People make all sort of crazy assumptions when they are grasping at straws.

moral of the story: when getting a classification on a race board, only pay attention to the opinions of the most experienced, well established members.

Nothing Baltid. Just Atlantid with Cromagnid influence IMHO.

If you had set your timezone to somewhere in Europe and not had flags, you probably would have been guessed differently. Flags always influence classification.
