His brother looks like my friend's English American father.

The one brother definitely looks NW European or Germanic of some kind.

People always expect him to know English, and they're always surprised that he only speaks Portuguese.

If I saw him here, I'd just think he was a colonial English descendant, or Irish. He looks very old school American type.

I don't think he looks English or Irish though.

There were Flemish families that moved to the Azores in the 15th century, since Portugal had an important trading post there (Antwerp). That may be it.

What do you think he looks?

Rouxinol

I think he looks über-Flemish/Dutch (the brother). The other one looks Portuguese, but could pass in other places too.

As for what classification goes:
1st man: Atlanto-Mediterranid/Atlantid;

I should have posted this in Personal Taxonomy, any way this thread could be moved there? They're my relatives.

Italian?

They're all Portuguese. How about classifications?

Borreby as well.

I thought so, someone on another fora said Alpine, but her head is to big to be alpine I think.

Anymore classifications before I take the photos down? I will admit that they do in fact have a small amount of Flemish and German ancestry, but I don't think it's enough to have any effect on phenotype.

Well, I think that it had effect on the siblings phenotypes, at least. Are you able to trace their Flemish heritage back to the 15th century or is it more recent? It's quite interesting how the Flemish settlers of the Azores also shaped its peculiar accent.
