Hi everyone,
in densely populated Europe many landscapes have been deeply influenced by farming, wine-growing, vegetable-growing, orchards and other forms of agricultural use. Please post pics of beautiful landscapes that have been formed by intense agricultural use.
Kaiserstuhl: This old vulcano is known as warmest and sunniest place in Germany. Situated in the middle of the southern rhine valley the south-facing side of this old vulcano is home to many wine-growers, that produce excellent pinots. The vulcanic rock stratum is covered with loess, which provides excellent drainage and nutrition for the vines. The loess has been formed into terraces, to make work in the vineyard easier:
