I suppose because Protestantism came from Catholicism. Western Christians go by the Gregorian calendar and Eastern Christians go by the Julian calendar. Julian calendar being the older and more original calendar.

I have some non-Macedonian blood but that has nothing do to with my religion. I became a Protestant by choice because I think it's the right form of Christianity.

there are differents forms of protestantism, just a sidenote. not all are alike, there are very liberal ones and very fundamentalist ones. i think the ones with the right balanace are the "best" protestants.
