Is long hair always preferred for women? Are there men who like women with short length hair, for example, cut above the shoulders. Is this style ever attractive?

To most men, it seems that long hair is more feminine and more attractive. This makes sense... but my hair is not long, ever since I was a child.

When I was a very little girl, my mother always put my hair in a long braid/plait, and for some reason, I hated it. I don't know, I had something of a short attention span, or something... I would tie my hair into knots on the end, or place it into food or paint to see what it would look like... I could not let my braid alone! Then one day, when I was six, I just... chopped it off. My mother was furious.
And to now I have never let my hair past my shoulders. I am thinking about letting it grow again for the first time.

Anyways, that is only my story, what do you think in general of a woman's hair length? Women may vote too.

The Caucasus can be somewhat an extension of that or at least the Pontic races. No when I searched my Baltic side ( because that's where the blue eyed Antolians originally come from round the Black sea same deal for the Caspian ) it came up as Thrace as in Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedon. I see myself as a West Asian Caucasian anyway. Or at least partly.

To echoe the views of some other posters, the features must be quite feminine already in order to pull off the short cuts, otherwise it all gets a bit... Butch. But can they be attractive? In some cases, yes. I'd just always think that long hair looked better.

I had a health problem a few years ago that caused much of my hair to fall out, so I had to cut it very short. I felt so ugly that I refused to leave the house until it had grown down to my shoulders. Ever since then I´ve been terrified of cutting my hair and always kept it very long. I'm not usually influenced by hair, which I try to consider just a frame. But I remember finding Imbruglia much more beautiful with short hair than with long hair in the times of her cover of Torn. Nowadays she'll probably look better with long hair because short hair puts years on women from a certain age onwards.
