My favorite bands are Flyleaf, Within Temptation, Evergrey, Sister Sin, Beautiful Sin, UnSun, Cryhavoc, After Forever, Ramallah, Iced Earth, Guns N' Roses, Sirena, Saxon, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Foreigner, Journey.

Mostly classical, but I also like some country, rock, jazz, and folk music.

I have a strong dislike for the vast majority of contemporary music, in particular hip hop or whatever garbage it is they play on top 40 stations.

The whole eastern european trend of adopting rap and hip hop is sickening. It is degenerate filth which does not qualify as music and has no place in Europe.

Is R&B the same thing? I think it belongs with hip-hop.
I think everyone's adopted that type of music. I like Serbian rap- Let's just say it is poetry music as though telling a story by sing-talking :lol:

I enjoy all or most permutations of rock, as well as some pop. I like some heavy metal, but it's not my fave genre. It's an exercise in subjectivity to break down musical types, and classify them as various sub-genres. It's fun to do, though (check out the All Music web site).
