I like trimmed beard and goatee the most - yeah, because such men look masculine, but some shaven types can look pretty masculine too. :) It depends. To be sure you got my point, I just searched for a picture and I got this Slovak man (from some WW2 reenactment):

F.e. my boyfriend is 35, and already with the scruff , he looks like 30. If he is clean shaved, he looks very young, and I don't like.

It depends on the man. For example, I believe Tim McGraw does look more attractive with his goatee than clean shaven. However, some men look best clean shaven.

I picked mustache, trimmed beard, goatee, and clean shaven. Hygiene is paramount for facial hair, which is why I don't like long beards, or for men who aren't especially inclined toward grooming to have facial hair. Men should be well-groomed if they choose to keep facial hair and would like to kiss a lady.

Another boyfriend went thru all sorts of phases. Nearly every photo posted in this thread resembles what he had. I think he liked to look scary, with weird beard hair, tattoos, the works. He was normal when we first started going together but he got all his tattoos while in the military. He was my longest going on-again off-again boyfriend. Ended for good after eleven years.

Men with strong jawlines look wonderful clean-shaven and with trimmed beards.

I like blond or light haired beards, and gray beards, not dark beards. Sean Connery has a nice trimmed beard.

My oldest boyfriend had a (gray) mustache. I don't like mustaches but I loved him so it didn't matter. He had a very masculine face (ex-Marine) and it looked good on him.

Baby-faced men with mustaches and facial hair just look like baby-faced men with facial hair and it does not make them look more masculine, in fact it looks silly on them, imho.

I don't like scruff, goatee, and the fu manchu. One particular ex had the shaved cheeks goatee and he was so horrible that to this day I have an aversion to men who have that because it just reminds me of him.

Another boyfriend went thru all sorts of phases. Nearly every photo posted in this thread resembles what he had. I think he liked to look scary, with weird beard hair, tattoos, the works. He was normal when we first started going together but he got all his tattoos while in the military. He was my longest going on-again off-again boyfriend. Ended for good after eleven years.

Men with strong jawlines look wonderful clean-shaven and with trimmed beards.

I like blond or light haired beards, and gray beards, not dark beards. Sean Connery has a nice trimmed beard.

My oldest boyfriend had a (gray) mustache. I don't like mustaches but I loved him so it didn't matter. He had a very masculine face (ex-Marine) and it looked good on him.

Baby-faced men with mustaches and facial hair just look like baby-faced men with facial hair and it does not make them look more masculine, in fact it looks silly on them, imho.

I don't like scruff, goatee, and the fu manchu. One particular ex had the shaved cheeks goatee and he was so horrible that to this day I have an aversion to men who have that because it just reminds me of him.

A man who is genuinely handsome can look good just about any way.
Some of the men pictured in here with long scraggly beards are naturally handsome and would look better clean-shaven. I don't like the scraggly look. While some of the clean-shaven men look naturally ugly and it doesn't matter if they are clean-shaven or not, no matter what they do they are still ugly. It's very much the eye of the beholder.
