He's hardly a darling of the artworld or a "famous" superstar. That should be obvious by looking at the type of work he often does, ie, fantasy characters, military figures, political posters, some more traditional type paintings of pretty girls, rural people etc. A lot of it is pop art, often with a patriotic / nationalist character. Those kinds of things don't go down too well in libby luvvy art circles, innit.

I happen to like it (there's some humour in some of those designs) but I doubt that "experts" will think highly of him. "Experts" in the UK tend to wet themselves over idiots like Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin.
