during an extended correspondence
in which a long-time-poster at https://i.imgur.com/ZvQTsiw.png (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stormfront_(website))
discussed the significance of richard strauss'
use of the white keys in his symphonic presentation
of the self-proclaimed pole (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friedrich_Nietzsche#Citizenship.2C_nationality.2C_ ethnicity)'s Also sprach Zarathustra

and the same trumpet-fanfare of perfect intervals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interval_(music)#Quality)
opening aaron copeland's celebration of the "century of the common man (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_A._Wallace#Vice_President)"
followed by a noticeably dischordant "integration" of black and white keys,

he asked if the (http://forums.skadi.net/showthread.php?t=76025) girl (http://www.imdb.com/user/ur3925839/boards/profile/)-child (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5849)
was receiving musical instruction.

explaining that after she had seen
my son's mother and her girl-friend
sharing the keyboard for mozart's "easy" piano sonata,

https://youtu.be/qjk-YRuQZDE

she had demanded: "Show Me. (http://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?16595&p=552419&viewfull=1#post552419)"
so - we were playing my maternal grand-mother's square piano (http://www.squarepiano.net/listen.html).
he asked of voice training:

"A woman should sing!" and, after our family meals,
the girl-child does practice her doh-ré-mi-fah-sol-la-ti (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tonic_sol-fa)
during the solfeggio by me, my son, his mother and her girl-friend

who usually hand-signs us
through a variety of bach's contrapunctal (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counterpoint) fugues

http://youtu.be/U85-4EYgZk4

knowing we dine around a fire-pit
on our patio, he jokingly asked if we were terrorising the untermenschen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Untermensch)
in the valley below our farm
by howling under the full-moon like a "pack of apex-predators (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_race)".

the coyotés (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coyote#Taxonomy) do - occasionally - set up a howling, in response.

he sent us matching shirts:

I played the drum kit for a few years as a kid, into my early teens, I got to grade 4 or 5, I remember I passed my first couple of exams with a merit, I also played in an end of year show at my secondary school (against my will and with no rehearsal, I was just dragged on stage really). I stopped playing at 15 because we moved house and there was no longer any room for a drum kit. I doubt I am any good now.

Piano. I played it quite much between 7 - 15years old. Now rarely...to keep up some level/skills.

But I have hoped to learn to play guitar one day. I could get one guitar cheaply from my father's collegue. But it is electric guitar.
Fender Stratocaster but made in Mexico. Quite old too; produced late 90's but said to be in fine shape. Could that be ok guitar for learnings? Or would acoustic guitar be better choice? Or some more modern looking electric guitar?

I'm not a musical person at all. I think I'm one of few people who could live my life without ever hearing music again, and without missing it.

I tried to learn guitar when I was about 6-7. I wasn't very good at it.

I played the violin from age 6 until I graduated high school. I also played the clarinet and cello for a couple years when I was really young, but violin was my true love :heartbea:

I started musical training young. Can play the violin (/viola), various 'flutes' (clarinet, transverse, other), and piano (/keyboard).
