Thanks to the poster at ABF for making these correlations and charts!

Eurogenes WE.12 chart: which is roughly similar to Gedmatch Eurogenes K11.

Eurogenes NEU1a.12: which is the equivalent of the Eurogenes K12 test on Gedmatch.

These charts show how Y-DNA Haplogroups correspond to each admixture component. So I1 with North Sea, R1b with Western European, R1a with South Baltic, N with Volga-Ural/Western Volga, etc.

Hmm interesting. So i guess my family should have relatively more I1 and R1a and relatively less R1b in our ancestries, although this can't be directly linked on an individual basis i suppose. My mother should also have more E and J1, and my dad less E and J. But both should have very slightly more G and J2, but particularly my mother.

R1b Does have very direct Correction to the Atlantic segments. Basques to Ireland.

Yeah, it's interesting how the populations seem to have diverged over 3000 years ago or so but still share the most major (on average, i'm sure there are a few that break the trend) autosomal component in this with each other. Except the Irish are shifted towards the north and north-east, and Basques and others along the Atlantic coast are shifted towards the south and south-east instead.

What would be interesting if this was actually something to do with western European I2, but the same R1b replacement happened all over the west, and so they share those autosomal components. Don't know about that though. I guess it's a matter of finding the common denominator to certain haplogroups and admixture components.

I have some correlation between my Y-DNA12 matches location and my autosomal location (1. map DNA from FTDNA and 2. map from prof McDonald analysis):

N1c1 "South Balts" (all of them should have L1025+).

I'm going with a Hunnic association for Q. It seems the most likely to me.

That's a basque man, but could pass for Irish or Tronder. I think the component that runs through them is preserving some of the more ancient DNA that used to be ubiquitous.

By my first impression: he looks like a member of French Resistance in WW II.

Has your father tested?

No, but it would mostly likely be R1b1b2a1a.

Yup most likely.
