he's Puerto Rican American, Born in Puerto Rico i believe but moved to America when he signed with the Majors.

I don't see any non-Caucasoid admixture, which is common in a lot of Puerto Ricans. Just likes like a southern european type to me.

He does not look like an Atlanto-Mediterranid at all, and the typical Baskid is far more robust, but rather he looks like a Dinaro-Mediterranid.

I have always thought of him as being Italian for some reason, and I think he could pass in Italy.

I would actually place him in Italy before Spain, and there does not seem to be any other influences involved in his phenotype despite the fact he is from Puerto Rico.

I don't think he looks Italian at all. Kinda agree with sleepytigers on this.

He doesn't look Italian at all to me either. I think he looks Basque.

Compare him to these Basques

I checked his wikipedia, and apparently his father is a Cuban that fled Cuba for Puerto rico, during fidel castro's reign of terror. But I think the same still applies, I don't see any non-European admixture in his phenotype so i agree, but I do think he fits more in Spain.
