Although she is obviously mixed, she looks, like sleepytigers says, about 30-40% black.


Her mother, Hermina M. (née Veraar), was Dutch, and her father, Norman I. Ewing, was an American of Sioux Native American, Scottish, and African-American ancestry.

The mother is named Maria Ewing and according to her bio her mother was Dutch and her father was African+Sioux+European. So she is likely 12-25% African.

In the movie, I did find her look a little unusual for a Caucasian. That's why I did some research on her background.
