Bulgarian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Simeon Djankov has been elected chair of the Supervisory Board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Bulgarian Finance Ministry announced.
Djankov, who got the new job at the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, has thus become the first government minister from the former communist bloc to be elected at a top position in the EBRD since the bank was established in 1991.
