Mice and heights are the things that freak me out the most.

I'm not really afraid of mice but I have an aversion to them same with rats, pet ones are no problem though.
I used to be deadly afraid of heights but I have gotten better at handling it.

I rode the highest roller coaster in the world and also was on top of CN Tower, heights are not scary at all. Spiders make my heart stop and sweat, however.

While being aware of danger ( and taking steps to avoid it or prepare for it ) is rational, fear ( FEAR False Expectations Appearing Real ) is a delusional state of mind. The truth to be told that's not exactly so. What man does depends on the quality of man's mind. Let's take ethics as a measuring stick. It can be divided into three distinct levels. The first level, you establish rules and use a stick to enforce those rules, even a dog can understand those rules when trained. Second level, there is system of rules and punishment dished out by a moral authority be it God or what ever. This is what we have right now. But there is another level of ethics possible. When the mind starts understanding what each thought, word, and action does and how it affects the doer those done to, and everybody else. This level takes an evolved mind, one which is not belief based but reality based, one who comprehends life as it really is. So your statement is true for the first two groups and false for the third one. Unfortunately the third group is so miniscule that it can be ignored in overall statistics. So you're almost exactly right. ;)

Heights, But my number one fear is dying and leaving my kids without a mother or something really bad ever happening to one of them.I not sure why but i think about it a lot and get anxious i even start thinking about when they are older and someone hurting them or something.It sound nuts

I hate spiders with a passion, I know they have a natural purpose but they can do their thing away from me for all I care.

As for heights I have a near deathly fear but can cope enough to do work on small erected scaffolds when necessary, mind with much shaking knees. :p
