Two homosexual penguins have successfully hatched an egg that was rejected by its parents and are now proudly rearing the chick, the German zoo housing the couple said on Wednesday.

That is not so off-topic after it's claiming that homosexuals can carry children even in nature.
Yes, I've seen male and female dogs and cows trying to mate (even my female dog with my male cat, which is race mixing:D), but that happens only in home environment. therefore it is not natural. I guess something went wrong with those penguins but it is sure they behave like "a couple"?
BTW, seems penguins are very modern, since prostitution for stones is met among female ones;)

And is it really essential that those penguins are gay? I mean, imagine a group of heterosexual men living in the woods, whose women had like died off for some reason, and who would have no connections to other human communities. If they would find an orphan child in the woods, what would they do with it? Skin it to make leather gloves? :D

Male animals usually don't have mother instinct, but birds seem to be different after they carry for their nests like the female ones.
Anyway, an opinion from zoologist and animal behavior specialist is what is needed;)
